The harpsichord...

...is a very distinguished musical instrument among all other instruments. The sound and fragile elegance makes the instrument particularly interesting. The historic harpsichord makers built high quality instruments which we can still admire in different museums and private collections even nowadays. The fully preserved and good instruments are surely the most rare. They are certainly in highest quality and well balanced instruments.

My approach to this instrument construction is intended to follow old traditions and methods. Building of a new original instrument, though using historical techniques and purposes, emulate the search and inventive spirit of the old makers.

All my instruments are hand-made to order. Original design and materials are followed very closely. Details are obtained from literature and studies of instruments in museums and private collections.

The only exceptions I make are certain features to make the instruments less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity . On most instruments the transposition mechanism can be built in. Large varieties of soundboard and lid decorations can be provided.
